Hand Extension

This will be something to wear on your arm or wrist that will extend your reach I will use something like rubber bands and/or strings to give control to the wire hand so that it is a functioning piece.

  1. This sounds really cool! You might want to make it attach at the elbo, I feel that if it is attached at the rist it wont be strong enough to move something, or might break. Going back to the elbo might make it more sturdy.

  2. This reminds me of those robotic arms they sold in toy stores when I was a kid. It is a very cool idea. The only thing that might be problematic are the joints in the hand. The wire could be tricky to figure out.

  3. I think the only part that can go bad is how you attach the fingers on the metal to bend. How are the fingers going to be strong enough to stay together when you are moving them?

  4. This reminds me of a futuristic hand puppet, litereally! I agree with Sarah, I think you should attach it to your elbow so that it will be able to bend easier. Other then that I think this is a great idea and I hope it turns out well for you!
